Color our world, We like it bright.. Let's play Holi!!..
What a way to welcome the first spring.. Arhan was in hues of green, red, orange and yellow on his first Holi. Eventhough he did not like them much, it was fun to colour him up.. He had a good time playing holi with friends and family. After the colour sessions got over we went to the temple.
Check out Arhan in his crisp white dhoti kurta with red bandhani dupatta.

Vroom Vroom .. Off I go !!
I have been thinking to write, but there's been something or the other that has been keeping me busy or should I say I am having too much fun with Arhan. So do you want to know what Arhan has been upto? Come along and enjoy my latest experiences with the little tyke.
Sometime early December, Arhan started to sit on his own. Just like everything else it came undeclared and we were absolutely thrilled. Now he could watch Pat and Stanley do their version of Lion Sleeps Tonight and catch up with his other favorite videos on You Tube (TV is so boring). He had even started to act in his own videos!!
Before we could fathom this amazing feat, the little boy had already started to make his moves. Yes, he was on a bigger mission.... to crawl. He had already mastered pick up lines such as aaghoo, angah, aggi etc. and with his sassy crawl, he was the best man on the ramp. For us, it was simply one of the best moment of our life. Arhan was enjoying his new found mobility and the world was on his knees (literally).
If this was not enough, within a week, around New Years the little guy was standing up with the help of some support. The bed, window sill, sofa, dining chairs, cartons - he conqoured them all. It came with a few falls and bumps here and there, but nothing bothered him and he marched undaunted.
Arhan's all over the apartment now, there is no place where he doesn't want to go. He has explored every nook and corner of the house. His favorite hangout spot is by the window sill, where he entertain passerbys and gets entertained watching the wind move the branches of the trees and the cars with their glowing red and orange lights. He spends a lot of time there babbling, rocking and blowing spit bubbles; his eyes do not miss even a single event happening on the street.
He gives me company in the kitchen, making music with the bowls or chasing the sun rays making patterns on the floor. The open diswasher, refrigerator and the store are a treasure for him. Leave them open and he races towards them faster than the speed of light.
Isn't it amazing how fast they grow. Within a few months he will be celebrating his first birthday. Yes India, the little tyke is coming..
